Introduced to the modern fashion world some 2000-odd years ago, these babies were reborn in '07 with Balenciaga's spring line. Now, three years later, they seem to be EVERYWHERE. Has this little footwear trend outstayed its welcome? Personally, i think it's time to go. While i do love having women resemble Russel Crowe in Gladiator, the shoes
were (
stress were) indeed fashionable, yet not so functional. Every time i see someone wearing them, i want to snatch them off her feet and throw them in the Charles. Once a trend has remained this long, its not usually a good thing, especially since top designers are not even creating them a long time ago. For my sake and yours, pleaseee embrace some new and fabulous trend. Now with cheap and tacky versions at Payless and H&M, its definitely time to say
adieu to this faux pas for at least another 2000 years.
